Also known as "The Treasure Coast", Florida's Research Coast is the region stretching from Martin county north to Saint Lucie and Indian River counties. The three county region has been dubbed "Florida's Research Coast" to reflect the biotech industry now taking hold in South Florida. This was presaged with the arrival of the Scripps Research Institute biotech campus in Jupiter, which may contribute as many as 8,500 high-paying positions by 2011.
Scripps Florida is a state-of-the-art biomedical research institute located in Jupiter, Florida. Researchers at Scripps Florida focus on basic biomedical science, drug discovery, and the application of the latest research technology to the drug discovery process. More Info
